项目 – 这座新建别墅坐落在首尔市中心地区的山坡上，通过深思熟虑的朝向和立面设计，巧妙地平衡了私密性和景观视野。这座三层住宅由 LJL Architects 为寻求摆脱典型公寓生活的家庭设计，分为不同的区域，以满足父母、孩子和共享公共空间的需求。设计团队策略性地沿南侧道路排布建筑主体，为北侧庭院和其保留下来的柿树提供屏障。朝北的户外空间连接着一层的起居空间，并铺陈出空间以便业主享受南山的壮阔景观。整体砖砌体量并没有过度装饰，而是将功能投射到外部，水平向的窗户可以让人一睹周围的都市风情。在住宅内部，楼层之间的空隙增强了垂直连通性，而双层高的客厅则充当家庭的纽带：连接父母、孩子和自然环境。精心设计的露台和庭院贯穿始终，为孩子们的玩耍和家庭活动提供了充足的场地与机会。巧妙回应了客户需求、场地条件和周边环境，这座住宅展示了 LJL Architects塑造光影空间与建筑形式方面的敏锐洞察力和设计能力，同时其在首尔繁华密集的城市肌理中巧妙地平衡了私密性、社区环境和景观视野。

Project - Tucked into a hillside in the heart of Seoul, Rift House masterfully balances privacy and views through thoughtful orientation and facade articulation. Designed by LJL Architects for a family seeking respite from typical apartment living, the three-story residence divides into distinct zones catering to parents, children, and shared communal space. Strategically positioning the main volume along the southern road shields the interior courtyard and its majestic persimmon tree from sightlines. This north-facing outdoor room connects the ground floor living spaces and captures panoramic views of Namsan Mountain.

Rather than over-ornamentation, the monolithic brickwork massing projects the program to the exterior, with horizontal windows offering glimpses of surrounding urbanity. Inside, voids between floors enhance vertical connectivity, while the double-height living room acts as the home's nexus - linking parents, children, and nature. Terraces and courtyards interject throughout provide ample opportunity for the children's play and activity. Rift House demonstrates LJL Architects' adeptness at sculpting space, form, and light in response to clients, site, and context. The resulting residence artfully balances privacy, community, and views within the dense urban fabric of Yongsan-gu.

Design Team - Founded in 2019, LJL Architects demonstrates a thoughtful, humanistic approach to architecture under founding partner Seungjin Lee. A graduate of Kyonggi University and Hanyang University's architecture programs, Lee honed his skills at Samoo Architects before establishing his own firm. Alongside partners Joohyoung Lee and Gyoungnam Kwon, LJL creates spaces that foster meaningful connections between people and their surroundings.

Guided by close client collaboration, the Seoul-based studio explores spatial possibilities to craft authentic, everyday architecture.
