这座位于东京千代田区的水道桥办公楼，可谓是创意十足。由田中裕一和中本刚志两位设计师联手打造，革新了传统办公楼的模式。疫情期间，他们着眼于初创公司的需求，在梯形地块上别出心裁地设计了一幢矩形办公空间，前方加了个三角形"工作露台"。这个露台可不简单，给办公空间增添了多功能性。在这里可以随意召开会议，也可在阳光下使用笔记本，又或是休息放松喝杯下午茶，不再拘泥于传统办公模式的束缚。巧妙之处在于，它将租户需求的高效性与开放舒适的工作环境完美融合。不过，这个露台不只是工作便利的一个配套，它更体现了设计师对城市意识的考虑。当中央总武线列车经过时，上万名乘客正好可将工作露台上或合作或闲聊的工作景象一览无遗，使这座建筑与城市融为一体。疫情之后，在远程办公越来越普及的大环境下，这座水道桥办公楼无疑为未来的工作场所树立了新典范。它注重营造社区氛围、促进思想交流，并与城市生机勃勃的活力融会贯通，可谓别具慧眼!

In the heart of Tokyo's Chiyoda district, the Suido-bashi Office by STUDIO YY architects Yuichi Tanaka and Takeshi Nakamoto reimagines the traditional office building typology. Conceived during the Covid-19 pandemic with startups in mind, the trapezoidal site yields an innovative rectangular office floor plan extended by a triangular "work terrace."

This ingenious terrace expands the functionality of the workspaces, allowing for casual meetings, laptop use, and refreshment breaks outside the confines of the standard office. Its design deftly balances efficiency demanded by tenant offices with an open, comfortable environment conducive to productivity.

But the terrace is more than just amenity space - it's a conscious urban gesture. As the Chuo-Sobu train line passes by, carrying tens of thousands daily, the architects envisioned the work terrace activating the building's facade with the sight of people collaborating, conversing, and enjoying their labor. In this way, the Suido-bashi Office connects the interior work experience to the surrounding cityscape.

In a post-pandemic era where remote work has gained traction, STUDIO YY has created a model for the future workplace - one that values community, cross-pollination of ideas, and integration with the energies of the city around it.
