项目 – House Y座落于西日本一处环绕林木的宽阔平地上，建筑师巧妙运用了放射状布局，使这座住宅能够从多个角度与秀美的自然环境互动。这片隐蔽的地点北西侧可远眺瀬户内海的落日余晖，东南方则可欣赏雄伟的群山环抱。建筑并未孤立地屹立在这片辽阔景致之中，而是采用了“树干与枝桠”的造型理念。中央的起居空间扮演“树干”的角色，卧室则如树枝般向四周延伸。沿这些"枝干"的宽阔段落，成为了内外交融的休闲区。离开主起居空间，走向卧室，空间渐趋私密，天花板也逐步降低，这种若有若无的压迫感反而加强了漫步其间的体验感。放射状分支上一路的落地玻璃，将沿途变换多端的自然景观尽收眼底。户外区域精心划分为数个小天地，各自将不同的景致入画入框——有的是日落的写照、有的是海景；有的则是在晨光中恣意伸展，还有对山色的专注凝视。住户可以在这片世外桃源中闲逛，随着季节和时间的变换体会它的新颖与变化。Y住宅以其创新的分支式设计布局，诗意地将建筑与景观融为一体，构筑了一场持续展开的多元体验。

Project - Set amidst a lush woodland on a vast, flat plot in western Japan, House Y by Hayato Komatsu Architects adopts an innovative radial plan that allows the dwelling to engage with its picturesque surroundings from multiple vantage points. The secluded site offers tranquil views of the Seto Inland Sea to the northwest and dramatic mountains capes to the southeast. Rather than situating the house in isolation amid this expansive landscape, the architects devised a branching layout inspired by the form of a tree. A central living pavilion anchors the plan, with private bedroom wings radiating outward like boughs. Wider sections along these wings create lounge areas that blur the boundaries between indoors and out.

The further one moves from the main living space toward the bedrooms, the more intimate and compressed the spaces become through lowered ceilings. This subtle compression and release heightens the sense of journey. Floor-to-ceiling glazing along the radiating wings frames shifting perspectives of the natural scenery with each step. Exterior spaces are delicately subdivided into a series of gardens tailored to distinct views - one framing the sunset, another the sea, a courtyard catching morning light, and so on. Residents can wander this secluded paradise, discovering anew its varied charms with each season and time of day.

Through its innovative branching form, House Y poetically intertwines architecture and landscape into a unified, constantly unfolding experience.

Design Team - Founded in 2009 by Hayato Komatsu, the eponymous HAYATO KOMATSU ARCHITECTS has emerged as one of Japan's most innovative architectural practices. Based in Hiroshima, the firm takes a multidisciplinary approach, offering services in architecture, interior design, landscape, and product design.

Under Komatsu's leadership as Principal Architect, along with Directors Ryoko Komatsu, Shinmei Chono, Shinro Ueki, Naoji Natsume, Suzumi Nishihara, and Shuguma Tanaka, the firm has gained worldwide recognition for its sleek, site-specific designs that poetically interweave the built and natural environments.
