项目 – 坐落于泰国清莱府湄公河畔的Riva Vista河滨度假酒店，巧妙地融合了现代与传统元素。这个拥有61间客房的度假村由IDIN Architects设计，精心捕捉了兰纳建筑的本质，同时又融入了当代技术和设计美学。度假村横跨被一条道路分隔的两个地块，将其餐饮空间和酒店主套房置于河滨一侧的建筑内，以最大限度地利用迷人的水景。一个细长而延伸的走廊确保每间客房都俯瞰河滨景致，而中间的缝隙保留了对巨大雨树的观赏视野，并将客人与河滨长廊连接起来。地块上的第二座建筑以L形包围主泳池，室内直通泳池取代了这里没有河滨景观的补偿。这座建筑将入住大堂、会议设施、健身房和水疗中心组合在一个内部庭院周围，并且可举办私人活动。建筑内外弥漫着对比，呼应了现代与本土融合的概念。清爽的白色形体与实体和开放量体并列，而内部则融合了传统的泰国北部元素，如木制平台、悬挂式储物柜和装饰架等。定制家具展示了传统的细木工工艺，让兰纳的影响渗透到当代设计中。通过其创造性的新旧融合，Riva Vista河滨度假村提供了一个独特的度假体验，深深植根于泰国北方富有文化底蕴的地方。

团队 – 来自泰国的IDIN Architects由Jeravej Hongsakul在2004年创立，其名称寓意“Integrating Design Into Nature”(设计融入自然)。设计团队以两种方式理解“自然”：第一，自然可以定义为我们周围的生态；第二，它也可以指不同的举止和个性。IDIN的设计理念和关注点是将这种环境意识，这种“本质”融入建筑美学。这种融合是通过分析和优先考虑每个项目的不同需求和要求的过程实现的。此外，泰语“idin”一词也用于描述雨后土壤释放出美妙芬芳的自然现象。这象征着泰国的热带气候，这也是IDIN所有设计努力响应的对象。因此，设计团队的重点不仅仅放在美学上，也放在实用性上，以适应这种温和的环境。其创始人Jeravej Hongsakul于1998年在泰国的先皇技术学院 (King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang)获得建筑学学士学位，并从2000年开始执业。自2010年“普吉门户”（ Phuket Gateway）项目获得ASA建筑设计大奖以来，IDIN architects在泰国建筑界已倍受瞩目，目前为止他们的项目在国际上都不断获得众多奖项。

Feature：

Project - Nestled on the banks of the Kok River in Chiang Rai, Thailand, the Riva Vista Riverfront Resort masterfully blends modern and traditional elements. Designed by IDIN Architects, the 61-key hotel artfully captures the essence of Lanna architecture while incorporating contemporary techniques and aesthetics.

Divided across two plots separated by a road, the resort places its all-day dining and main suites in a riverside building to capitalize on the captivating water views. An elongated single corridor guarantees every room overlooks the river, while a gap in the middle preserves sightlines to a giant raintree and connects guests to the riverfront promenade.

The second building on the inland plot wraps around the main pool in an L-shape, with private pool access compensating for the lack of river frontage. This structure combines the lobby, seminar facilities, gym and spa around an internal courtyard that can host private events.

Echoing the concept of fusing modern and vernacular, contrast pervades the architecture inside and out. Crisp white forms juxtapose solid and open volumes, while interiors integrate traditional Northern Thai elements like wooden platforms, hanging storage and decorative shelving. Custom furnishings exhibit traditional joinery, allowing Lanna influences to permeate the contemporary design.

With its creative hybrid of old and new, the Riva Vista Riverfront Resort delivers a unique resort experience steeped in the rich culture of Northern Thailand.

Design Team - Established in The Hague in 1976, Atelier PRO architects has spent over four decades pioneering context-driven and socially-conscious designs grounded in genius loci principles.
