DesignTO Festival 2027 Call for Projects

Since its launch in 2011, DesignTO has used its annual festival to showcase Canadian and international design. The 2027 edition is scheduled for January 22–31 and is expected to present more than 100 exhibitions and events spanning graphic, product, interior, architectural, fashion, craft, digital, and interdisciplinary design.

Independent Projects may take the form of online or in-person exhibitions, events, or window installations. Applicants are responsible for curating, producing, and securing a venue for their projects. Additional opportunities include Guest Designer, Youth, Thematic Exhibition, Artist Sojourn, and DesignTO Talks, each with its own eligibility, fees, materials, and timeline.

Final registration for Independent Projects closes on October 9, 2026, with an early registration discount available until August 31. Deadlines for other programs fall between September 4 and 25; applicants should review the official participation page for the requirements of their chosen stream.
